Hi

The other week I stumbled upon this nifty program on Lightspeed's reference page.

ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/win3/editor/not3113b.zip

It says that I can get a free registration code via e-mail but the company seems to have gone bust or something. I'm quite fond of the program itself so I'd like to find a way to register this thing.

Any ideas?

cheers
Adrian

Hello Adrian,

Your question is already almost 2 months old, but i'll email you my answer. I'm also posting it here for other users who may have the same question.

First, i just visited the author's website, so i can tell you it's still active. Maybe it was temporarily offline when you did, or he may not be interested in supporting the software anymore if you didn't get a reply via email. However, registering this free software is very simple. Just do the following:

Click on Help -> Enter Registration Codes

Empty all 3 fields (Name, Company & Registration number). Leave them all blank.

Click OK.

I'll add a note on my site about this as well.

Hi all

I should have posted this ages ago...guess I forgott. Yes, the guy still exists and does reg service and I now have a fully registered program.

I didn't know about the 'leaving it blank' approach though...

cheers for your suggestions guys
Adrian
