Started with windows 3.1. I formatted drive c in hopes of installing W95.
Downloaded a W95 boot disk from bootdisk.com, used this with W95 cd and received the following error:

try using 98 boot disc and format( do not use fat 32)

This is the same problem I'm having that I've just posted about a half hour ago ...How do you change from 32fat down to 16fat??????

Try to use Partition Magic, which it cand do. Free variant is Ranish Partition Manager, try search it in Google! Conversion from FAT32 to FAT16 or other file systems is very easy. In Ranish select FAT32 partition and use the convert menu, all data will be lost, but the FAT16 partition apperars!

The reason wy your computer can't find a cd-rom drive is because you formatted the hard drive included the drivers for the cd-rom drive. Get a bootdisk for MS-DOS From www.bootdisk.com (These bootdisks have a cd-rom driver on it) Then put the win95 cd-rom into the drive, type D: then type SETUP en the win95 installation begins.
