I had no cd-rom on my 486 pc & wanted internet access. I came upon this site. They have floppy version downloads of Iexplorer 3.0 16 & 32-bit. I downloaded it & it works great on my 486. Great for people that have old computers with no cd-rom drive & want internet access.

It's a little complicated but you can also download IEAK5 (internet explorer administrative tool kit) from microsoft.com to a win 98 computer and make your own version of IE for 3.1, NT, win9x. I just did that for a 486 I am building for a friend. I installed IE 5 onto win 3.11 and it works great. You can set it to create floppys for install without cd (IE5 took 7 floppys)
