Ok, at work I am setting up a bitching machine. 486 50 with 32 megs of ram, 100 meg scsi hard drive, network card. Running windows 3.11 wfwg, calmira, 32 bit extensions (worthless), Internet Explorer 5 (crashes too much), MS Office 4.0, Client Access for AS400, Ram Doubler, Advanced Task Manager, Instant File Access, windows 95 buttons, TCP/IP connected to a NT Domain (SHEW!).
My question is this:Every time I restart windows the drive mappings no longer work. I.E. They still appear in file manager (or explorer under Calmira) but for whatever reason they show no files (in Calmira explorer) or I get "An error occurred reading drive X:" (in windows file manager). Now if I disconnect the drive mappings and recreate them, it works until I restart again at which time I have to start over again. I had the same problem when I was using the netbui protocol. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I am using an 3com Etherlink III (3c509) nic card, connecting to a NT Domain. Can anyone shed any light on this problem.
Also, I am looking for a 16 bit exchange client for win 3.11. The Mail program that comes with office 4.0 will not connect to a Exchange server.
Also, is any version of 16 bit Netscape any more reliable than Internet Explorer 5.0? I tried IE 4.0, then upgraded to 5.0, it still crashes, especially on e-bay.
Thanks in advance,
-Michael

Don't know about your mapping problem, but i find Netscape 4.08 more reliable than IE5 on a 16 bits machine. Find it on my site, by cliking my banner.
