Hi!
I am looking for a really good eMail-Client
with the functionality like Mutt or Ishmail
for Win3x. Pegasus is fine but stores every
mail in a seperate file which costs a lot
of disk space and the Mail-Format is
something strange.
I do not like Outlock Express or Netscape-
Mail.
I've tried Eurora light and the fileformat
looks just fine, but I do not understand
why the attachments are stored in a
seperate folder. Is there another Mail-
Client which stores Mail like mutt under
Unix in one single file and uses an
addressbook which is maybe compatible to
mutt and other Unix-Mailclients?

Thanks in advance

Daniel

If the mail storage format is your concern, then Foxmail 1.6 uses mailboxes which may be opened with Winzip. The mailbox names are related to the names you give them, unlike the current Win32 version of Foxmail, where they are Newbon.box where n is a digit.

In each version, the mailboxes are individual files, each with its own index file.

The address book isn't good: you'd be better off copy-and-pasteing from something else.

Keyboard shortcuts aren't good, and it's a Chinese prog, so the helpfile could be better.

It's unlikely the prog will be updated.

Another one, if you can find one of the older versions, is Kaufman's Mail Warrior. Freeware, and simplistic but very good.
