i got an old comp wit windows 3.11 for workgroups. how do i download something on it like (internet browsers) that wont fit on a floppy disk? like when i zip files it cant open them and i even tried going into this comp and copying evey file of winzip so i could unzip them but that wont work either. usually it goes to the black screen for like half a second and says somethin bout this program cant be opened in dos. i want to get it hooked up to the internet but everything i try doesnt work.

There are places on the internet that have old versions of internet explorer, i think you're looking for iexplore version 2.0. You also need winzip for win3.1, again there are places on the internet where you can get such programs. Win31 is a 16 bit program and cannot run genuine 32bit programs, that why you keep getting the message this program can't be run in dos mode, even though you are in windows.
You need to get hold of genuine windows 3.1 programs, there are many old sites where you can get them from, look for other messages below this one. There always people asking for programs, one of them will provide you with a link.
iexplore for win31 fits on one floppy disk
