Lets all thing back to the good ole days.............. Well do yall remember my site (steves Abandonwares) and for a breif period (ancient win) Well as you know it has been down for quite a long time now. im posting a plee to any one who has any of the files from my sites because i lost all them due to a server and personal pc crash, any help will be taken.

You must learn to make backups of everything. Thats the first thing I learned in a computer hardware class.

We i do have a backup of some of the things, but i had aquired 2+ gigs of files the day before the crash, and had yet to make a backup of those.

One simple and safe way to backup your programs is copying them on CDR or DVDR media.I don't trust hard drives for this:they crash randomly.I don't need the DVDR but it is getting closer to become a very affordable solution.When I have about 650 MB of data ,I backup on a CDR right away.When you have to setup Windows,you are back to work a lot faster.I have made one specific CDR with all the little programs you need to use your computer and it does really speed up a full re-install.The cost for one CDR has become cheaper than the cost for one single 1.44 diskette:you need to buy a spindle of 50 and you can start making your backups.Good luck.
