Comment: Does anyone have a MP3 player for a 386 based Windows 3.11 system?

Reply: (edit)You could try this DOS based MP3 player DOSAMP along with the interface program DOSAMPEX http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Lakes/1401/sound01.htm This MP3 player requires a math coprocessor. If you don't have one, search the net for a program called Q387. It is a math coprocessor emulator. It will only run for 20 minutes at a time until you pay the shareware of $25 U.S.. If your CPU is removable you could probably find a DX processor to replace it for $5.00.

Reply: (edit)WinPlay3 v2.3 beta 5. Simple, but works. I don't know of any other.

Reply: (edit)winplay 3 probably won't work on a 386, neither does audioactives player because they require an FPU - q387 won't run in the backgound of my wersion of win 3.1, and the version of realplayer for 3.1 doesn't like anything less than a dx. maybe somebody will write an mci driver one day...
