There is a file in the Windows directory that you can check to see what mouse driver windows is looking for. It is SYSTEM.INI and under the [boot] section is a statement mouse.drv=something where something is the name of the driver that Windows is using for the mouse. If it states mouse.drv=nomouse.drv, or something to that effect, there is no mouse configured. If it points to some other mouse.drv check to see if it is in the C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. If you have a driver in another folder or on a floppy you can copy it to the SYSTEM folder and edit this file to name it. BEFORE YOU EVER EDIT ANY INI FILE BACK IT UP. One little typo and Windows will barf. I use mscouse and my ini statement reads mouse.drv=msmouse.drv. Good luck.
