My son shipped his CPU to me, but he failed to ship the Windows 3.1 Setup Disks or the DOS 6.22 Setup Disks. I am trying to install a Samsung monitor driver that will display 256 colors (which is required by the software program I need to run).
It will not allow me to install the driver without the Windows 3.1 Setup disks or the DOS 6.22 Setup disks.

I need this fixed ASAP! Any ideas on a work-around or who I can contact? PLease Help! Thank You!

dear hot rod, i think yo're actually installing VIDEO CARD drivers, and not monitor drivers. windows 3.1x is not set up to accept monitor drivers, like windows 95&98. at any rate, you can find & download the windows setup disks at:

www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk

go in under the windows section, and at the bottom is a link for the windows setup disks. 3.1 would be your best bet.

good luck ;o)
