MISSING WIN.INI file need help!

i am missing the WIN.INI file and the message always comes up on my computer when i boot it. my floppy disk drive wont work either! can somone find the file on their computer copy it and put it to my e-mail adress i would really like that thankyou!

Hi jonathan: Sorry to give you bad news, but the win.ini & system.ini contains custom information instructions for the PC that it is running on. Copies from another PC will only create more problems, that's why you should have made a backup of your Windows & DOS files to floppy, then you can always do a restore in DOS using c:\msbackup. Another way to backup *.ini files is to make copies to either a floppy or create a backup directory on your hard drive to copy files. I can send you a copy of the original win.ini file for Win 3.1, but it won't have the things you added to your PC after original install, just e-mail me if you still want the file.
