I have a laptop which, when starting up Win3.1, displays the message "Can't find file vtapi.386 from c:\windows\system". Can anyone supply me with this file? I'm not 100% sure of the spelling( I don't have the laptop nearby) but a dir v*.386 should show the most likely suspect!

Thanks in advance.

T.K.

TK you could edit the system.ini-ehanced section with that file in it and just put a semi-colon in front of the line. This will stop the error message popping up(stops that line from being actioned). works for win.ini too or any ini file for that matter.

Make sure you make a backup of any file you're editing first.

This can be done in notepad or the dos editor.
