There was a posting that was made By Lee who was looking 4 dos 6.22. That said that one of the disk from my site was bad
Not true. Also it was said that U had to rename files. Not true. The page tell u how to make your setup disk & how to install.
All u need to know is on the dos 6.22 page.
I just downloaded the dos 6.22 disk from my site. Every thing is in good working order.
The only thing is I miss printed the size of disk 2 & 3. Disk 2 is 1.31 m not 1.3m & Disk 3 is 1.37 m not 1.4
To keep from any more trouble at freelinks2001 or with anyother download. This is a program that support resume. If the site supports it.This will help from loseing any data while u download.

Downloadaccelerator

hello freelinks
just came to my attention that thepcnick shut down, could it be because he was freely posting his address here?
It just seems to me that you have to be careful about your site.
Windows 95 A works great, thanks man
I hope your site has a long life, it was such a lifesaver.

Freelinks-I agree with dude. Certain unnamed companies get a little "funny" about things. I've seen many sites disappear.

We'd all like to see your site have a long life.

But then again whats the point of having a download site, and not leting people know about it? I am sure Freelinks knows the risks. There was a guy called 'Happy Helper' a while back that was posting links almost every day (Freelinks among them) and getting stick about it as well . But as far as I know not one of the sites he listed went down. PowerLoad had a DOS/Windows download page last year, and he posted that it was the ISP NOT Microsoft or its Agents that shut it down for useing to much bandwidth. Other members complaned about download site (Software & Music)to get more bandwidth for there sites. This is the real problem - Not "Certain unnamed companies" as ED puts it.

Keep up the good work Guys.

magpie.

just a note for anyone who cares about these things. download accelerator is not freeware, it is adware, so if you care about individual privacy you may not want to use their product. perhaps, someone out there knows of a better, similar product that is not adware. pbs

It's a shame that Freelinks has to post messages to defend his reputation. His web page is a good one, and is no threat to the big "M". He is a great help for those who either like to work with, or have no choice but to work with the old machines. In the last year I have seen many web sites with good intentions fall by the wayside. They make no money running their sites. They spend their own free time to make vintage programs available to all. I applaud Freelinks, Lightspeed, and others like them.
