I have just downloaded mask to give it a try with calmira. As much as I like it I would like to know how to get rid of the new desktop background it creates. My original desktop is underneath (i can see it on startup, but I can't work out how to disable the Mask98 one as cannot see any setting within the ini file. Any ideas?

yeah, what you do is on the empty desktop, click 'no prwin windows for this application', and then mask won't create the desktop..i'd recommend you read the help file thouroughly, as tweaking mask can take a bit of practice...
