Hey guys,

after fixing a much more modern computer and cannibalizing mine for spare parts mostly, I didn't really have much more use for my old PII. That's when I decided it might be interesting to install Wengier's DOS 7.10 and Windows for Workgoups 3.11 on it for fun.

Wow, windows just STARTS on a PII without any booting time at all. It's impressive.

Anyway, afterward I thought it would be interesting to see if I could try to develop for the DOS/Win3.11 Platform.

I'm looking for the Windows for Workgroups 3.11 Software Development Kit and also the Device Driver Kit. If you have one of these could you please send them to me?

SDKs and DDKs for Windows 3.1 will also hold me over a little until I find the ones for WfW.

Thanks.

Your link does not work. It redirects me to another website.

Could you please email it to me if you have it?

It takes you to a russian site. Which does have the ddk. It's about 13meg big and I'm getting it right now.

There is a central table, look for win 3.11ddk and then click it, wait a few secs and the download should begin.

"God damn no edit function"

???

I suggest you open your eyes - - that feature was introduced over a week ago

Never saw it, and I haven't posted on here in about a week or so. At least to which I would know said function was introduced.

But now I have.

That's quite an excuse - the word "edit" is in plain sight on every post, is it not??

Kind of self explanatory, but sure, you actually have to look at it, and have your brain engaged

I suppose we expect too much from you

Not really, but when I'm not expecting something it can be overlooked :P, anyway I know it's there now.

Visual Basic 4 allows you to develop software for 16 bit platforms (including Windows 3.1). I found a web site that has it, http://www.winworld.vze.com click on Downloads. VB4 is somewhere in the applications section. Once you download it, there are 2 setup files, SETUP.EXE, and SETUP16.EXE. SETUP16.EXE is for developing programs for Windows 3.1. The other one, SETUP.EXE, is for developing for 32 bit OSes.
