If you have a cdrom drive on your computer
that is 8x or speedier then you may be able
to simply burn your mp3's into cd audio
format on another computer then play them
like regular audio cd's on your 486
computer. If you get an mp3 player for it
then I doubt that it will be capable of
playing mp3's as you usually need at least
a pentium 90 or 120 to play very well
without buffering probs. At least that has
been my experience let us know how it goes.

The best options and most commonly used MP3 players on Win 3.x are Winplay3 and Audioactive 1.3. Both are available in my Imaging/Multimedia section, along with a number of other options for Win 3.x or Dos.
