Invalid Partition Table!

I recently decided to dismantle my old 486 and then I tried to put it back together for fun. I reassembled it and now it won't boot properly. I am running windows 3.11 on it but it doesn't even get that far. When I power up, it just displays the hardware information and then it displays invalid partition table. It does not attempt to read the a: drive or any other drive for that matter. Any thoughts?

Hi Folk-Boy: If you PC worked before you need to check bios settings & all hardware connection (especially the control IO board, if you have one, make sure it's seated properly). I hope your hooked the ribbon cables with the No. 1 pin (marked with line) to the correct pin on hardware. Hope you made sure you ground yourself to prevent any static discharge from your body, that can damage parts.
Hope this helps, good luck. Z
