Reply: (edit)You will need to get a copy of aol on disk. The version that you will need is old 3.0. If you are running windows 3.11 w/the aol 3.0 you will be able to surf. If you are using a 486 or older this is probably what you should use. This is what I use on a 486.

Reply: (edit)Get hold of your local internet service provider (ISP) and ask them if they have software for Windows 3.x to get you on the Net. Failing that you'll need a Web-browser with dailer, both Internet Explorer 3 and Netscape 3, both with dailers, are available from Tucows.com , but you'll still have to get the ISP settings (DNS) and phone number for the dailers to work. I'm posting this with Windows 3.1 on a trusty 486DLC40. Good luck.

Reply: (edit)Get hold of the Microsoft Year 2000 Resource CD, it has a copy of 16 bit IE5, should you be interested. You will need the TCP/IP stack to dial up and connect to the Internet however. RC
