I've got DOS/WFW3.11 running on top of Virtual PC. Runs great, networked and all but I can't get a mouse wheel when in 3.x. I'm using an Intellipoint-compatible optical mouse (PS/2) on my "host." Searching this forum back ("mouse wheel") revealed a thread instructing the user to install an old Logitech driver. I installed it, the mouse works for drags & clicking but still no wheel. Any ideas?

I could be wrong, but I don't think that you'll have much luck getting wheel features to work in a 14 year old GUI.

Logitech had a few 'Wheel Mouse' or 'Scroll Feature' mice in the early 90's and Windows 3.1 and its later versions were still the main Windows till 1995, and did not disappear overnight! It was only in the late 90's that manufactures started not to provide 3x drivers. (Now even Windows 95 is old and the latest cry is - I want an old parallel printer NOT USB!!)

Microsoft produced its first IntelliMouse before Windows 95 was released, and I remember useing one with Windows for Workgroups 3.11 at the time.

Do a search at Google useing keywords such as "IntelliMouse" "IntelliPoint" "Wheel Mouse" and the like. Baybe a differant Logitech driver will work.

If anyone locates or has a Win3x Microsoft Wheelmouse driver? Let me know and I will host it on PowerLoad for future users.

I uploaded Part 2 for you! So you can go get it now, sorry about that confusion! You'll find Part 2 where you found Part 1, or you can search in the Downloads search box for IntelliMouse and you'll find both parts.

I have also found MS IntelliMouse v1.1 Driver for Windows 3.1 (Disks 1 & 2 in one zip file) as well as Logitech Drivers @

http://www.driverguide.com/

(Use Login drivers and Password all)

Also the last Logitech 3.1 Driver (v 9.79.1)
is still available on Logitech Site:

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?page=downloads/categories&CRID=1792&countryid=19&languageid=1

(Copy and past URL as one complete line)

I will in due course upload these drivers onto PowerLoad. I already have DOS Mouse Drivers available.
