I recently scavenged a umc modem for my 386. I need to install the driver for it, but the driver is a .inf file. How do I install it from inside Windows 3.1? After it is installed, where is dial-up networking?

I was trying to install windows 98 to a blank hard disk but, I can not get it to install the cd drivers off the boot disk for some reason. Can you help me or tell me some tricks or something.
