hi! i want to format my old computer(IBM ps/value point) with win3.1 os hard disk 430Mb,66Mhz ram 4mb after formatting i could think of installing win 95 after adding 2 4mb ram of the same type it say memory error can u assist me to identify what wrong? thanks
I am guessing that your PS/ValuePoint uses 72 pin sticks. Check the part number of original RAM to see if it is Parity or Non-Parity.
There is plenty of memory available for your computer, you just have to make sure you get a compatible type.

I am running (should I say walking) a 486 just like yours with 8mg of ram and Win95. Don't bother, your'e better off staying with 3.1 if you can
