Always proof-read carefully to see if you any words out.

Irfanview 2.05 is the last one to work with Win3.1, and needs Win32s installed as well.
It's also available here:
http://www.gaby.de/ftp/pub/win3x/iview205.zipA couple others:
Lview 3.1 (old version which may not support some JPGs)
http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/software/windows/viewers/lview31.zipXNView 1.5
http://download.xnview.com/Xnview-wfw.zip
(also needs Win32s)

I like PictView, which is available in both 16-bit and 32-bit versions, as well as a version for DOS. It views BMPs, GIFs, JPGs, PNGs, and even some movie formats. I personally set PictView as my default viewer in File Manager for GIFs, JPGs, and PNGs.
Another option I like is QuickView for DOS, also available as a plug-in for the Arachne web browser.

Morpheus: There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. "The Matrix"

All software mentioned above is also available from my site, but one notable exeption is Sea3 from Photodex, which isn't freeware but worth a try as a limitless shareware for Dos. I think it's also worth mentionning that the excellent XnView is available as freeware version 1.70 for win 3.x.
Lookup my
Lightspeed's reference page -> Imaging/Multimedia
for all downloads, including win32s.
