on ie5/netscape 4.08, is there a way to change the 'search' site for these browsers? i dont like their search engines. i want them to point to www.google.com whenever i click on the search button of the browser.

For IE5 it's time for a bit of registry editing - run regedit, browse to HKLM\software\microsoft\internet explorer\search and edit the searchassistant key - this will change the page that appears in the left pane when you hit search.
