Does any one know where to download
IE 5.01 Service Pack 2.
I guess Bill gave up on it, since.
It is not on the Microsoft site.
All links that I found for download
all point to ms/site and all are dead.

Thanks.

You might try here for IE 5.01 16bit for windows 3.1 & 3.11. I don't know if it's sp2 though.

Http://browsers.evolt.org - go to IE/microsoft - 16 bit.
Microsoft is no longer carrying 16 bit versions of IE on their site, from what i recently heard, and i see no reason to doubt it....

You might like netscape 4.08 better. seems to run faster.

in case anyone's interested, ive actually timed it- on a 16bit system netscape 408 is about 2 to 2 and a half times as fast as ie51 on image intense sites- diff is less pronounced on 32bit systems, but its still faster there too. theres also less difference between them on ftp sites, with no images.
however, javascript will crash netscape half the time because netscape can only read real javascript, not that MS version that only works on IE, and fewer sites use real javascript anymore, instead using the MS compatible version.
So you get there twice as fast but crash at the end...:)
