Hi guys, i was wondering?.?. do you think my floppy drive is fryed. because a disk got stuck in there (not like when the metal piece is bent a little) well anyway. when this happened my floppy disk drive acted like i was putting a disk in when i was taking a disk out. it took me 2 minutes to realise that the button was out, so i pushed it in and the disk came out and ever since that happened my FDD has not been working, i checked the disk that had gotten stuck in there for missing parts on it and there doesn't seem to be. i tried blowing out the floppy drive, (with my mouth of course)! almost chocked on dust but it still won't work for me. My AWARD BIOS detects it fine in windows or dos it did not read so i tried a little experiment. i put a disk in my Floppy Disk Drive, booted the system up. and then after about five seconds, instead of coming up with the non-system disk or disk error note, it just said "Starting MS-DOS" it is and A-Trend ATC-1442G motherboard. but please, i have got a little bit of important stuff to do with my computer's floppy drive, if it is not finished
the help that i could get would be appriciated. " " . " " " "

I had the exact same problem. I also had the problem in a different way. On the computer that had your problem, I needed to get a new FDD. On the other, the drivers in Windows 98 were somehow messing each other up, I had to wipe my hard drive.
