Can anybody help me with installing RAM on a Windows for Workgroups 3.1!? I need the help! I don't know where the RAM goes! i have the I/O ports (which go vetically when you look from the back)and i have these sockets which go horizontally! HELP!

Well, just a WAG, but the 'vertical' ones sound like expansion slots - I'd go with the 'horizontal' ones. Usually they are marked 'bank 0' or 'simm1'
Basically, only memory chips/sticks will fit in memory slots - do you have ram for this machine, and, if so, where does it fit? Older machines took the 30 pin kind, later models used 72 pin simms. Often you would either have to fill all banks or fill from lowest to highest - it varies.

Thinking the same jboy. But if we had more detail it would help. Just a thought if its slim line it will have vertical AND horizontal ISA slots. Or it has some sort of raiser like some OEMs.

Sure, lots of possibilities - we may never know for certain ;-)
Still, it's pretty difficult to put a stick of mem in the wrong place, or the wrong way (unless someone is very determined)
