i need help with 486dx,cd-rom driver wont work..why?????

ok.....this is only my 20th time here,lol,im trying to install cd-rom,it was working at one time..i screwed it up..anyway,i have a CR-562J and went to driver/driver...then when i went to install it,it said misconnection,what's that,then it would just abort installation,why..im thinking i need to have right sound card driver maybe..i dont know...pls help.....step by step..thks guys

Go to this site this will help you. the cd rom needs to load in the config.sy and autoexec.bat files. This psite will show you how.

If that's a 2x Creative Labs made by Matsus---a, you'll need a Panasonic driver. Also--those drives normally had their own controller card.

Summary: yeah the installation program installs the sound card along with the CD-ROM. I know the sound card is installed cos the computer can play sounds. i just need the CD-ROM drive to work....
