This has come up so many times. There is no Windows 3.1 Boot Disk.. You need a MS-DOS Boot Disk of the same version as your original. OR at the worst a full set of MS-DOS 6.22 & Windows 3.1 to start again.

There is no Win 3.1 bootdisk. Win 3.1 rides on top of DOS, silly!

If you've lost your copies of DOS and Win 3.1, try using FreeDOS (www.freedos.org). It's downloadable, MS-DOS compatible, and it's free! You can also use the Seal GUI for DOS (http://www.home.sk/public/seal/) also free and downloadable. You can also find many software programs (free!) for download on the Net. Good luck.

what style of cumputer do you have 3.1 does not have a boot disk but i can get you your system back up if you know which dos version it was running

My Computer compleatly crashed. I need a boot disk for 3.1 and windows 95. And if I can upgrade. I would like to upgrade to windows 98. Please help me.

I HAVE A C386SX-LT AND SOMEONE HAS FORMMATTED THE C:\ DRIVE. CAN ANYONE HELP IN RESTORING THIS MACHINE BY TELLING ME WHAT I NEED. IT KEEPS ASKING FOR A SYSTEMS DISK BUT AS I AM A COMPLETE MORON I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. HELP ME PLEASE?

My puter has crashed and I can't even get a dos prompt. I know there isn't a 3.1 boot disk, I've downloaded some boot disk from the net and I keep getting a NON-System disk or disk error, can anyone help me get my puter back up and running?
