i have a computer with a sound card soundblaster 16 type CT 1750 with an ide interface
and a sony cd-rom drive type cdv33a-01
how can i install my cd drive.

I think that the 1750 has three CD-ROM interfaces on it-Panasonic, Mitsumi and Sony.
Your CDU-33a usess the SONY. Make sure that jumper near the interfaces is set for the SONY.
Go to the Creative Site and download the drivers for the soundcard if you haven't already.

Choose
Audio Products
Sound Blaster ISA
Sound Blaster 16Click
Download DriversOn pulldown
Select windows 3.xxChoose
sbbasic.exeDownload it to a temporary directory.
This is your basic DOS/Windows 3.1 installation disk.
Double click sbbasic.exe from windows and the contents will extract the files you need. Read the readme.txt for installation information.
I don't remember if SBBASIC.exe will install your CD-ROM drivers or not. If they don't get installed you will need to download the CD-ROM drivers from Sony.

Check out the help links . Look at drivers.
There's a link to a site with a progrom called cdgod ,has over a 100 drivers on one disk.
