i converted an mp3 to a wav, and then, over fifteen disks( i used an extremely useful and very good split program) i transferred the 15mb wav to my comp at home. it was so huge i couldnt read it- it told me to quit other apps, so i quit watchit and logit programs that i use in constance, and i upped th virtual memory. it still didnt work. i have played a ton of wavs before and midis, just couldnt find a compatible mp3 player. i have a 386sx with 2mb of ram and 112mb memory, but i dont know the speed. thnx, please help,

Hi james:
I think the problem is that your windows player was never designed to play these large wav files, plus 2 megs of memory RAM is not enough to do much, I think windows need a minium of 4 megs RAM (for sound I would recommend at least 8-16 megs. I have an MP3 player for Win 3.1, but don't know if your system will work, I used a 486 DX4 100 with 20 megs of RAM to play MP3 files & had to set playback speed to medium setting to work. If you want a copy of MP3 install file for Win 3.1 send me an e-mail.

Hope this helps, good luck.
