Is there a way to view HTML formats/files in 3.11? What program that will fit a 3.5' diskette (1.44MB) will I need?

Any web browser will do- if you dont have it set up for internet you might want to do a google search for mozock.dll- a dummy winsock that lets browsers run without a connection and not complain about it ( youll have to rename it to winsock.dll, of course)
The browser you pick depends on how new the html is, if its 3.2 or earlier, you would do well to go with an earlier netscape.
The only one that i know would fit on a floppy is netscape 0.9 , but though itll show some pages, others will pose a problem.
The point is, your sacrificing speed for ability to view formats, with most of the choices.
There are a few offline browsers but though i have a few, i still use netscape (0.9 or 3.04) for viewing most pages as the offline ones are really quite slow.
Try http://browsers.evolt.org , they have both off-line and most versions of netscape etc.
Expewct to spend a bit of time finding what you need, theres a lot there.

Thanks that narrowed it down a lot.
However if I leave mosaic09.exe as is it comes up as a file error, if I rename it to winsock.dll it comes up as cannot run program.
Try another till I get one that works?

Minuet 1.8 DOS web browser http://www.fdisk.com/doslynx/minuet but is only HTML 1.0 complient.
DOS ViewHTML http://www.theabsolute.net/sware/index.html

Minuet 1.8 installed I think but still didn't open any html files. Viewht25 couldn't install.
The search goes on........

Mozock is a dll file, not a browser- you dont want to rename your executable! Mozock is simply a winsock.dll replacement for the regular winsock, you could in fact use a regular winsock.the point is ypou need one in your windows folder to run a (windows)browser.
You dont want to be fooling around with *mosaic*, which is a completely! different (and antiquated) thing- in fact i dont think it can even render html 3- its the one that pretty much started everything so it deserves some respect, but i wouldnt treat it as anything but a curiosity now.
You need a regular browser along the lines of netscape, as i said (the ones mentioned above are probably a little hard to set up or dont view the newer formats.
Throw away your mosaic( watch that spelling now! :)
and just do a regular install of netscape3 ( i think IE3 might also view a similar range but if you just want a viewer it might not be so good as it will dump tons of files in your system that you probably really dont need....
Ideally netscape four is a much better viewer as it is HTML 4 compliant but again, theres a lot of files ( although, mercifully, it keeps most of them in it's own folder) and heres that speed versus range thing again...
Just pleeez dont get mosaic and mozock mixed up again :)
i cannot be held risponsible....

Try the following offline browser:
Offsite ExplorerI believe there is a way to scale down the Arachne DOS web browser to fit on a 1.44mb floppy disk...(not sure though)...
HTH...
N1

The Offsite Explorer did the trick, I still don't recieve glossy pic's but thats just frosting on the cake anyway. It seems to open any html format easly with color.
Thanks everyone your all #1!
