it has no com ports only lpt ports can i install a internal fax phone modem? Yes you can. Even though there are no com ports in your computer, it would still be setup to use them. An internal modem would be able to access a com port. where do i get one also? Best Buy, CompUSA, Radio Shack, Fry's Electronics, and many other electronics retailers. Modems are quite common today. i have no cd-rom drive only 3.5 disk! Then make sure the modem you purchase has a floppy installation disk, not a CD-ROM. Also make sure your modem support DOS (Windows 3.1 runs under DOS). A WinModem won't help you unless you're using Win95/98
