Trying to load Win3.1 on a Compaq 286 with 1M of RAM. Saw a msg from Dave, date Aug. 27 1999 addressing how to get Win3.11 running on a 286 with 1Mb RAM (640k + 384k Ext.) I'm trying to find out how this is setup on the 286. (entire msg is on this forum's index @ 1127.html.)
Any help is appreciated.

Maybe you should put more Ram in the Compaq first off......

First you need to load MS DOS 6.22 or greater. What I did is load the main files of msdos and it worked great. I have the start up disk for msdos here email me if you would like it.
