Hey guys, goto my website about Windows 3.1 and sign my guestbook. http://www.win31.cjb.net or email me at compjim@email.com for any Windows 3.1 help. Join my Windows 3.1 club too. Its like a Yahoo type of club.

If you get this far, you might like to consider getting hold of...
Windows NT 3.1
This is just like windows 3.1, but...
There is no dos mode, so you get all the functinality of windows, without having the bother of dos, and the difficulties it provides, but more than this....
you also get the new NTFS filing system, which allows you to set permissions on folders etc. So you get the security of NT, and within windows 3.1 interface.
I am sorry to say, that i don't have a copy, but you can download it from the internet somewhere i'm sure.
It needs 8mb of ram, and about 50mb of free HD space.
you don't have to convert the filing system to NTFS, you can leave it as FAT. This means you can dual boot with msdos, and your previous version of windows 3.1, but you won't be able to get the security features that the NTFS filing system offers

Uhh i have bought Win NT 3.1 for about 4 dollars.
Apart from the security (uhh why do i need that;-) what is the advantage?
Is it easy to install drivers?Uhh I actually like DOS and I use a lot of DOS programs.
I dont think I can use all. Is this correct?

hey jim if u get this please send me a copy of windows 3.1 to try out and see if i like it to stiffy_neck69@hotmail.com
