A friend of mine deleted a lot of stuff of his computer and now it will not boot up it says error with command iterpator he has win 3.1 so it is pretty old but it ask for a coad to put in at the first stage of booting up do you know what to type in they said he would have to pay $100 to get it fixed but i dont think it is that serious. thank you.

If you are having the message display "cannot find command interpiter", you are missing COMMAND.COM. To fix this, start up with a boot disk and type SYS C:. This will transfer over the system files needed for DOS to run. Make sure the bootdisk you have is the same version of DOS you are trying to revive. You can get your DOS bootdisks at bootdisk.com. Hope your system reconstruction goes well.
