Since I formatted my computer's hard drive, I can't see images in 256 colors. It's an 486 notebook with LCD screen and I think that I erased the driver. Please tell me what driver I need(if I don't know the manufacturer of the screen)and where can I download it. HELP me, please.
Thanks.

Hi Hetfield:
Try the svga.exe file at Powerload's site for 256 colors universal video driver, it should work if your LCD screen can run at that resolution.

http://www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk/win3x.htm

Good luck.

I donwloaded svga.exe, extracted files to an empty directory, went to MS-DOS: c:\windows\setup, but when I type the full path where driver is, a beep!!! appears and can't load the driver. At the right corner of the screen apears a filename: VGA850.FON, but this file doesn't exist in the vga.exe.
(I took a look in the user's guide and the screen can run at that resolution and higher)
Thanks.
