HELP! I have a really bad error

My laptop computer went crazy and Compaq told me to fdisk it, but when I did I didn't realize it would delete Windows! I got this syestem At Webdeals Computer Warehouse and I didn't recieve any Windows Floppy disks! PLEASE HELP!!!!

http://www.freewebs.com/winvision to download MSDOS and Win3.1, but as stressed on other posts these products are covered by a License, they are not freeware. To undertake the installation of software has been covered in other postings here and in the DOS forum.

I found windows, but the message I recieve on my screen says MISSING OPERATING SYSTEM, but I have no MS-DOS prompt! Please help me again!

Have you got a dos boot disk?

if so can you boot into windows?

how did you find windows, or do you mean the files?

If you get the "missing operating system" it would mean the file command com can not be found. Before going any further would advise to download a boot disk and run Scan Disk all the options they offer in case you have any bad sectors etc.

i think you need to have sys"d the hard drive - this is where after formating you transfer system files from the boot disk (make sure the boot disk is of the same OS your gonna use eg. msdos6.22 for an dos622 system)
i think it's just "sys c:" (if c: is your harddrive)
you get the message "system transferred" if it went OK
