I have an old Toshiba 5200/100 computer. My hard drive (100 Mb, conner CP....) is broken. I want to use another hard drive (western digital, 540mb). The bios only knows 3 harddisks, 2 of 40mb and one of 100 mb, there is no costum setting. When i attach my 540mb-drive the bios is automaticaly setted to 'No Drive', so i can't use software for big drives support, because i can't boot from harddrive
I there a prgram that boots from floppy, recognizes the harddrive and boot from it?
You will most likely have to buy a new hard drive controller card that matches the type of drive you have and one that supports it's size.

Dear lionel You might come to the stage when repairing your hard drive may be feasable and once you have taken your computer apart all you will need is a small set of allen keys and the dexterity of a surgeon. Dave the snake
