I am trying to get Windows 3.11 up and running on this system. When I use the plain VGA video drivers and the built-in PPP dialer from IE5 16-bit, everything is fine.

I have a Diamond MM V770 video card (which has a TNT2 chip) and a Netgear FA311 network card with an NS DP83815 chip. I can get the ethernet working, but then I get errors like: IEXPLORE caused a General Protection Fault in module WIN16X.DLL
and: NETSCAPE caused a General Protection Fault in module NETSCAPE.exe

For some strange reason, Opera runs without a hitch (using it right now).

Also, I am using the nVidia TNT2 drivers for win 3.11, version 1.55, and they seem really buggy. Is this a known problem? UNIVBE also tells me there was no supported card found, even though the documents say TNT2 is supported. Any ideas on getting this to work? I am trying to test some web pages, and they don't look right without at least 256 colors.

You may have a VANTA based card. Vanta is the "workstation" version of TNT2. If this is the case, you would need a different driver.
