What country are you in? In mine, you can get free access in the public library or as a student, but you aren't free to access just any content you choose.

A free service may only be available to users of mainstream software, so they can bombard you with ads and monitor your movements.

I've looked up a few websites that say free ISPs no longer exist. With that said, here's a site that has some free ISPs listed.

http://www.internet4free.net/

Good luck and post back if you find anything useful.

Use Win 9X or better and try Juno or NetZero if available in your area.If you are willing to pay, AOL offers service for Win 3.1 : get the install CD-ROM free from a PC or games retailer in your area that distributes PC magazines.

If you were to pay for access, you should try a service like Earthlink, which will work fine in Win3x without special software. (like AOL)

you can get juno which is an hour a day per user on that ISP but you can make as many screen names as you need to relog on and they need no credit card. if you do have a credit card just get a lot of aol cd's from wal-mart and just call them up every 45 days or redo the disk. wish you luck. oh you will have to get the juno files to see if you are in there local areas at www.juno.com download it to floppy and then install that program into your puter to see if there is anything. it is a toll gree number the first time out.
