My Celeron 466 128 MB RAM (which was running '98) now has dual boot. (I use the bootmanager that comes with OS2 Warp 3 for that). I now run Opendos 7.01 with Windows 3.11. I run Windows 3.11 from a 64 Mb RAMDISK. (I used XMSDSK)
I have a cable modem which plugs in my LAN CARD and I installed TCP/IP support from Microsoft (TCP32B.EXE). Now I am browsing the web with IE 5 (16-bit).
It works great, stable and fast!(Unlike Windows 9x and higher....) My harddisk has spinned down and keeps spinned down as long as I dont access my physical drives and thats nice and quiet too!
The only 2 things I cannot use with 3.11 are:
- My USB webcam (I should have bought a parallel one...) - MSN Messenger (Does someone know a java version that can be used?)

Well it seems like I cheered to early!
IE 5 did not crash, but I had problems with timeout errors while downloading files. Also I saw a problem with some script on a webpage that was eating my resources???? :-) I always used Netscape 4.08 on my 3.1x systems so I will try that (that was not from RAM disk though).
The other problem I have is with my Ati Rage LT PRO AGP Video Card. (bought this one for 2 dollar!) I replaced my Voodoo 3000 card since I thought the MACH64 driver would work, but it doesn't....
