FDD lights up all the time

Hi guys,
After my fiddling in an old 486, the 31/2" floppy drive light lights up all the time, and isnt working (the 51/4" doesnt have this prob). The floppy drives are on a large cable with four plug-things on them - two big ones and two little ones. What do I do!??

You put on the cable the wrong way. There is a red streak on it. It points either toward the 5V connector, or away from it. Turn it around. It should be all right.
