Is there a Fastlynx or Sewell forum out there that is not connected with the parent company?
I have been running FastLynx version 2 by Sewel for a number of years now. It works good for me.
Problem being is that I installed another hard drive on to a computer, as the old one was making noise. Installed Fastlynx right off original disks too. Now am stuck on "Local" mode only. Is zero in original booklet or on line as how to get out of this mode. I tried to contact Sewell, and they say are on to more modern version, don't know, don't care.
I can connect into the older computer from another, and can send and receive from there just fine. But if I originate the data on the older one and try to get out, then get the Local Mode only message. Thus am looking for how to get this particular computer hard drive out of LOCAL mode via a group forum or something.

Latest version requires Win95 or better.
Wm.,
You trying to use the program under Win 3.1 or DOS?
What is new hdd size?
Com ports set up correct?
Skip

I replaced the power supply about two weeks ago, and now can switch it on or off, to whatever mode I desire. Did not realize it was going south very slowly until I connected in teh probes from a VOM.
