E Mail Attatchments

I have received an E Mail attatchment that I can't open. I have never had a problem with attatchments before. This time when I click the attatchment a box comes up to download it. When the download is complete I am unable to open the attatchment from the current location. Another box opens asking to select a program to open it. I have never used these programs before HELP!! What is the best solution??

You will have to be more specific about the type of file u are trying to open...for instance let me know the 3 letter extension...what it is saying is that windows is trying to open a file that doesnt have a program associated with it....for instance i fyou have noe unzipping program on your pc and you try to open a zip file it will ask you what program you want to open the file with but ne ways let me know the rest of the info :o)
