I am trying to reinstall Internet Explorer 3 using three floppy disks on an old IBM Thinkpad
that runs Windows 3.1 I keep getting an error message that says “Error selecting Drive. Drive A does not exist” Does anyone have any idea what is causing this, and how to fix it?

I have been trying F1, F2 and CTRL+ALT+DEL to access the BIOS. Is there anything else I can try?

When I use F1 it takes me into EASY SETUP but in Configuration there is nothing relating to Drive A.

Hi MBrown,
Try IBM's website, or do a search for key combinations that will allow you to access your bios. Do you know what kind of a bios it is? It should be written on the chip.

Sorry MBrown,
I didn't see your message about accessing the F1 setup.

Supposedly you can press the FN + F1 key simultaneously at any time to enter bios.

I tried FN and F1 and it took me into the Program Manger Help. Anyway, I'm no longer getting the A Drive does not exist message now, so perhaps the system has reset itself. I was able to access the A drive today and install Internet Explorer 3. Thanks for all the help!
