Yes Dos 6.22 is a very good verson of dos. In fact I've been told by Dos 7.0 user that there is ver little different. What are the error ? What kind of computer are you useing. It may be the setup disk that are bad. Run a scandisk on the setup disk .Do a full. If you find that you need some new setup disk go to this link. Don't try use the old ones . Get some new disk .Then make your news ones.Trash the old ones. If you get error then it's the setup disk.

Well if you can enter dos 622 or windows which ever one that you have on there then it may some file that are corrupted on the disk. You can start over! make a bootdisk C:\format A:\s
when you have your bootdisk made then you can format your hard drive useing command A:\format C:\s after formatting complete. Restart you computer without the bootdisk and when you get the C: prompt you can place the windows 3.1 setup disk in and restart installing windows.
