Comment:

I'm having trouble using a SCSI PORT for Genius ColorPage-SP2 and a RTL8029 LAN card.
There's a conflict between the SCSI PORT and the RTL8029. My LAN card isn't working neither in Windows 3.11 nor in MS-DOS. How can I solve this conflict??

Computer:
Pentium MMX 200Mhz / 32 MB RAM EDO
Sound card: Sound Blaster AWE64
LAN card: RTL8029
Scanner card: SCSI PORT
Video card: S3 Trio 64 (764)

Thanks.
Leandro

I am confused as in your post in the W9x forum you stated you could not find the W3.x drivers and therefore I would surmise it is not supported by KYE Genius:

As to non working NIC RTK8029, what sort of LAN do you have installed?? NDIS driver, IPX/SX protocol, TCP/IP protocol, NetBios/NetBeui, and how have you ascertained it is non functioning, btw the 8029 complete driver set is downloadable from:

ftp://202.65.194.18/cn/nic/rtl8029as/oem-8029(355).zip

Therefore if you have no scanner drivers how can they conflict??????????????????

If you actually meant the SCSI Card is conflicting with the LAN Card then you need to install the correct SCSI driver set which comes with an Utility to set up the IRQ's etc if it is ISA bus, also if an ISA card you may be able to reserve the card settings in BIOS. If like the 8029 it is PCI then there should not be a conflict

Thank you, guys. The problem: I was using the wrong SCSI driver. The solution: I've uninstalled this driver and installed the Genius MSPNRI driver in MS-DOS. Now both Scanner and LAN works fine... Could you help me to fix my S3 Trio 64 problem?? There's a topic in this forum.
Thank you.

Thanks.
Leandro
