Comment:

This computer is on a P2P network. It has a Creative CT2810 SB sound card. On the installation instructions had to install CTCM & CTCU before sbbasic.exe and s16dw3up.exe.
During reboots had a lot of trouble getting back to the Windows desktop and had to run fdisk /mbr several times.
The sound and network connection all work okay.
The only bug I cannot solve is on start up in the bios screen just after the creative message I get
"Your system configuration has changed. Please run Windows 95 to initialise your system configuration. Press any key to continue"
After any key is pressed during the continuation of the boot I see on the screen "CTCU cannot be run under a W95 or W3.1X DOS box "
The computer comes C:\Windows> which I alter to C:\> and type in Win and an error "ERROR:Unsupported Data Copy" appears then the C:\>.
Type in Win again and WFWG starts up okay after the password is put in.
Other times on start up after the "Your system configuration has changed. Please run Windows 95 to initialise your system configuration. Press any key to continue" message is goes straight to the WFWG desk top okay after the password is put in.
Doulble checked the driver files I used and they appear correct off the Creative site.
Any ideas to correct please.
Here is Autoexec.bat
SET SOUND=C:\SB16

Hi far,

First, you've been very thourough with your description and info. Not something that can be said for many here. And you knew enough to run fdisk /mbr.

My guess is that if you disappear the sound blaster card, many problems will just go away.

FWIW, I got a twinge of nostalgia looking at your config and autobat. But I sure don't miss the old days of cfg and ab that looked like a fruit salad.
