I know that to change the virtual memory size in windows 3.1/3.11 you go to the "386 Enhanced" icon in the Control Panel, but that doesn't seem to be the case in Windows 3.0.
Does anyone know how to change the virtual memory size in Windows 3.0? Thanks in advance,

I believe you do that by editing the System.ini file. In the [386ENH] section of that file, you use the "keyname=value" of:
MaxPagingFileSize=<kilobytes>
to set the maximum size of a temporary swap file. And, I believe that:
MinPagingFileSize=<kilobytes>
will force the creation of a permanent swap file of <kilobytes> size. By setting MinPagingFileSize and MaxPagingFileSize to the same value, you get a swap file of a specific size. I am not sure that this will work in Windows 3.0, but it won't hurt anything to try it.

Pyrolitic, thanks for the reply! I'll try it out later.

You need to start up Windows 3.0 in real mode by typing the following:
win /rFrom Program Manager, click File - Run and type swapfile. Now you will have a GUI that allows you to change your settings. This is the recommended way to set up your swap file, especially if you plan on using a permanent swap file.
