cant change dialog box fonts

How!!! do i change my dialog box fonts into something less ugly than that big ugly bold windows 2x look?? ive tried rearranging the order of fonts in my ini as its supposed to use the first font it finds for dialogs but to no avail-system font changers dont work for dialogs either. oddly enough ive got a driver that might change them (but i cant be sure) but i cant install it (see other post) I dont know what the smiley for utter exasperation is, but if i did you could imagine a few following this!
